Brig o’doon House Hotel Wedding Photographer
Gemma and Seans Brigodoon House Hotel Wedding. Such a stunning day, with warm autumn colours setting the backdrop for Gemma & Seans wedding day. From singers in the church, the best groomsmen speech ever (and he was too young to even buy a drink at the bar!) a team of bridesmaids on hand and in the centre of it these two who could not keep their eyes of each other.
A SCOTTISH FAIRYTALE SERIES
A Scottish Fairytale Series took 5 years in the making. What started as just a bit of fun one snowy winter when I decided to brave the elements in January 2011 and head up to Glencoe armed with an old camera, a model, some dresses, an assistant (close friend!) and a big imagination turned into an adventure which would continue for years. Every year I put together photoshoots based loosely on fairytales.
Glasgow wedding photographer
This was the second time I had visited BAad in Glasgows east end. The first time was for a festival and I was intrigued to see how it would look as a wedding venue. I was unaware the venue hosted weddings until Ciara and Ross contacted me wanting to book for their day. Upon arrival the venue had been transformed into a fairytale wedding venue. With the wonderful light streaming through the ceiling mixed with Ciara vision of a fairy woodland theme of ivy, flowers, candles and antlers the venue looked breathtaking.
Romantic Hill of Tarvit Mansion Wedding
Both being creative these two put together their day the way they wanted at their Hill of Tarvit wedding. Chloes mum made Chloe the dress of her dreams. Delicate layers of pink organza and tulle teamed with a sweetheart neckline. They asked their guests to come dressed in black tie, ballgowns and crowns which meant the guests also got to dress up for the day aswell.
Fine Art Albums
To me, a photograph doesn’t feel real until it is a physical print I can hold in my hand. Holding something brings you closer to that captured moment. A page turn is the next chapter of a story. I believe printing your images creates a physical memory of those special life moments. A tangible connection to those memories that need to be cherished today, and passed on in the future. This is why I have selected the very best supplier of printed products.
When you recieve one of my albums you’ll be wowed, so what is it that makes them so special?
Lake District Wedding // Sinitta and Carl
The lake district is one of my favourite places, I used to spend summers here with my grandparents and find it such a beautiful calming place. As a family we go nearly every year and spend time in amongst the stunning scenery. So when I found out Sinitta and Carl were going to have their wedding here I could not contain my excitement. Throw in the fact they were going to bring all their babies, and by babies I mean their pack of little schnauzers, I barely slept the night before I was so excited!
Relaxed Elopement at The Lodge on Loch Goil
Joanne and Ian booked a relaxed elopement at The Lodge on Loch Goil. 2020 was a challenging year to say the least for anyone planning their wedding. With the restrictions in place and the constant changing of rules, masks, social distancing, live music being banned and receptions not allowed, it was proving almost impossible to try and prepare for your dream day. But love will prevail.
The Lodge on Loch Lomond Wedding // Jill & Liam
After spending time with Jill and Liam in Glencoe on their engagement shoot, I was very much looking forward to their wedding day. The two of them had so many fantastic and creative ideas for the day to make sure everyone had a good time. And their wedding day did not disappoint! With a luxury boat cruise around Loch Lomond for their guests to a performance of the Greatest Showman which included all their bridesmaids and best men, it was a day to remember.
Boturich Castle Wedding // Emily & Stuart
Fairytale fine art wedding at Boturich Castle Loch Lomond, Every thing fell into place on their day. The sun shone and stayed out all day, all the guests enjoyed the views and beautiful ceremony. The children ran around the lawns and Emily and Stuarts dream day came together surrounded by all their loved ones and finished with their guests all dancing the evening away as the sun set over the loch.
Engagement Photographer Scotland
This was one emotional morning and definitely the highlight of my photoshoots so far.
Ross and Chloe had been looking to have some couple photos taken and this coincided nicely with the fact I was looking to put together a styled shoot at the beginning of the year. Armed with a stunning dress by the award winning Flossy and Dossy, jewellery by Mirante and various other suppliers we where set for a trip to Glencoe. However due to weather our dates had to get moved about.
Monachlye Mhor Hotel Elopement
Monachyle Mhor Hotel Wedding - One of my favourite things about Scotland is out hidden gems of wedding venues, in amongst the breath taking scenery, there are these amazing little venues that suit intimate weddings and elopements. Monachlye Mhor Hotel is one of the finest.
Edinburgh City Centre Wedding // Robyn & Mark
Edinburgh city centre wedding - All weddings are fun! I have laughed and sometimes shed a little tear at all of the wedding I have shot. But what I will always remember about Robyn and Marks special day was the fact I laughed so much my face ached! Iv seen all sorts of entertainment and wedding favours but I think theirs has been my all time favourite.
Glencoe Engagement Photographer
Glencoe Engagement Photography - It was important to Jill & Liam to capture as much as the scenery as possible as a month after their wedding they are jetting off to start a new adventure in Singapore. They are both so excited about but it's clear they are going to miss their beloved scenery and the wilderness of the highlands. I had a great time on this shoot. These two were up for any idea I suggested. Plus I learnt Jill is also a massive Outlander fan so we had a good catch up about the joy that is Jamie Fraser and our love for the scottish scenery.
Rosslea Hall Hotel Wedding // Fay & James
"Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two."
Such an emotional day with lots of tears at this Rosslea Hall Hotel Wedding. Fay and Jimmys wedding was a cosy small family filled wedding with lots of personal touches. Set in beautiful Rhu at The Rosslea Hall Hotel these two said their own written vows to each other in front of a small selection of people and there was not a dry eye in the house. One of my favourite moments of the day was seeing Fays dad see in her dress for the first time. The emotion was all over his face and the excitement in the room was electric. Thanks for braving the cold guys and having me as part of your special day. xxx
The Cruin Wedding // Loch Lomond // Katie & Jamie
The Cruin Wedding, Loch Lomond wedding Scotland - Snow peaked mountains, clear skies and fairy lights overlooking one of Scotland most famous Lochs. Its hard to picture a more beautiful setting to get married. And this is exactly where Katie & Jamie decided to say their vows.
I had the pleasure of meeting Katie and Jamie a few months previous. Their couple shoot took place down on the beach over looking Arran. They where so easy to photograph, so at ease with any directions I gave them and so comfortable with each other I knew photographing their day was going to be a joy.
2017 Highlights
Finally! Its only taken me 4 weeks to get round to this! My 2017 highlights. It was so hard choosing these as 2017 was better than I could have ever imagined. Shooting couples in Scotland, England, Paris and even Thailand, I had the most amazing year and met such fantastic people. From barn weddings to beaches, Castles to city centres, its been one beautiful wedding after another. And to fill the time between these I have been lucky enough to shoot some of the cutest babies in Scotland from newborns to cake smashes! We also managed to get involved with some charity work with Reservoir Sprogs baby and toddler event raising money for the romanian appeal and also Loch Lomond rescue boats.
12 months of Robyn!
It been a whirlwind of a year! Cant quite believe Robs has been with us for 12 months, feels like she's always been here smiling away and yet its also gone incredibly fast. The 12 months have been one massive adventure of learning, playing and developing. From being a "little dipper" to a one year old that waves at everyone possible, charms everyone she meets, barks at dogs and calls everything "BA" or "mumumumum" its been incredible. There are the challenges such as lack of sleep at the start and losing your independence a bit but you forget about it all when they smile at you. Below are some facts I wish I had known before having Robs and pictures of her over the past 12 months, some iphone shots in there too :)
