Katie & Jamies Winter wedding at The Cruin, Loch Lomond
The Cruin Wedding, Loch Lomond wedding Scotland - Snow peaked mountains, clear skies and fairy lights overlooking one of Scotland most famous Lochs. Its hard to picture a more beautiful setting to get married. And this is exactly where Katie & Jamie decided to say their vows.
I had the pleasure of meeting Katie and Jamie a few months previous. Their couple shoot took place down on the beach over looking Arran. They where so easy to photograph, so at ease with any directions I gave them and so comfortable with each other I knew photographing their day was going to be a joy.
Snow Capped mountains ....
The welcoming feeling on the day was amazing, the whole wedding party were incredibly calm despite having an army of little ones to get ready. Dressed in a fishtail lace gown with full length lace edge veil, Katie walked down the isle on the arm of her very proud dad who could not hide his pride and delight all day with his permanent smile. Jamie was greeted at the top of the isle by high fives from the tiny paige boys and grins from the flower girls. With the backdrop of the snow capped mountains behind them they said their vows with a small audience of close friends and family.
The partying continued well into the evening. Even managing to find time for some sparkler fun outside after the sun set. Flanked by flower girls with skeleton face paints (the face painter must have laughed at those requests from pink lace dressed flowergirls) and their family and friends the atmosphere was fantastic as lights and noise lit up the side of the Loch.
The whole day was a wonderful family affair with lots of little flower girls and paige boys running around. The energy levels and smiles never stopped. Jamie & Katie are two peas in a pod. When with one another they give off such an aura of calmness and this seemed to flow through to the guests and the day.
