Top Loch Lomond Wedding Venues

Scotland has some of the most romantic and beautiful wedding venues in the UK, some of my favorites are situated around the famous Loch Lomond.

You can’t beat the atmosphere at the end of the wedding night dancing to the famous run rig song whilst having the Loch view as your back drop.

“You'll take the high road and I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore you.

On the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.”

Here are some of the best wedding venues in Loch Lomond, Scotland, each offering unique features and breathtaking views:

Boturich Castle

Known for its historic charm and modern amenities, Boturich Castle features a stunning glass pavilion that can accommodate up to 200 guests. The castle grounds offer a scenic backdrop of Loch Lomond, making it a fantastic location for both the ceremony and reception. It sits right ontop of a hill with brilliant views over Loch Lomond and the famous Ben Lomond. This spot is where most of the outdoor cermony’s take place making it one of Scotland’s best wedding venues. Iv had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at Boturich, from when it had a large marquee and now with its stunning award winning glass pavilion. It just gets better and better each year. Loving the new additions this year with the gates and lavender path.

The Cruin

On the opposite side of the loch is the The Cruin wedding venue. The Cruin is up there as one of the top loch lomond wedding venues as it is situated right on the loch side. With its own private pier and beautiful loch side terrace for outdoor ceremonies offering stunning views of Ben Lomond and Inchmurrin Island. This venue provides a picturesque and intimate setting for weddings, combining rustic charm with modern amenities. I am so fond of this venue, I modeled here for wedding magazines as teenager, have shot many wedding here and even had my 40th birthday celebrations at The Cruin.

Ross Priory

One of my favourite spots to take photos at Ross Priory is their walled garden. From first looks to couple portraits, I could spend hours photographing couples in there. Ross Priory is a stunning wedding venue located on the banks of Loch Lomond, offering breathtaking views of Ben Lomond and the surrounding hills. This historic Gothic building, dating back to 1693, is owned by the University of Strathclyde and is renowned for its beautiful gardens and unique setting.

I have photographed many weddings at Ross priory and its is stunning in all seasons, from warm autumn colors to summer golden light.
