Brigodoon House Hotel Wedding

Gemma & Sean

Such a stunning day, with warm autumn colours setting the backdrop for Gemma & Seans wedding day. From singers in the church, the best groomsmen speech ever (and he was too young to even buy a drink at the bar!) a team of bridesmaids on hand and in the centre of it these two who could not keep their eyes of each other.

Funniest part of the day was the little flower girl happily munching away on sweets on the front row throughout the service then pirouetting in front of everyone, wish I had the confidence 🙂
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Brigodoon which is the birth place of the famous scottish poet Robert burns. Gemma and Sean celebrated with all their loved ones at the Brigodoon House hotel and we photographed them on the famous bridge (Auld Brig) which is the setting for Robert Burns poem Tam O Shanter. With the gardens speckled with autumn colours it made for a beautiful backdrop to a beautiful day.

Wishing you a future of happiness together. Congratulations Mr & Mrs McAuliffe.

Avisford Park Wedding // Charlotte & Richard

Charlotte and Richard had an amazing disney themed day at their Avisford Park Wedding. I got the pleasure of second shooting this wedding with good friend Vicky from Victoria Lamburn Photography and what a day. Robyn had just turned 5 weeks old and I was a bit apprehensive about being away from her and shooting a whole day at a wedding but I could not have had a better wedding to start back on. I am a major disney fan so was in heaven arriving at Charlottes family home to find the place decorated with the subtle disney theme dotted about with the family photographs at disneyland, the dressing gowns with cinderella images. The attention to details was fantastic with their invites inspired by the disney castle logo. Charlotte even had tiny mickey mouse images on her nails. Charlottes fairytale lace gown was by the designer Maggie Sottero teamed with a princess taira and veil.

The sun shined through the stain glass windows of the church onto the pair as they exchanged their vows and finally it was onto the Avisford park hotel for the reception. All the tables where named after disney princess’s which was amusing watching the best men direct guests to each table while trying to remember all the princess names. In keeping with the theme the best mans speech had the room tearing up finishing with the fact that Charlotte has found her prince charming in Richard. This really was a day full of fun, laughter and romance and felt straight out of fairytale movie, these two have got their happily ever after.

Fairytale Highlands Wedding Photographer Scotland

Styled Shoot // Wedding Inspo // Taken on Location in Glencoe

Part of our Scottish Fairytale series, wedding inspiration, we ventured up to one of my favourite locations, Glencoe. It is always atmospheric up there, the colder and wilder the weather, the moodier it gets with the rolling storm clouds and biting winds.

With dresses by the award winning designer Enzoani and headpieces by Vows winner Corrine Smith Designs, Jessica looked stunning in this breathtaking landscape.

Make up by the talented Debbie Lee which managed to stay put despite the wind and rain battering our poor model Jessica. We retuned home just as the sun started to lower of the mountains.

If you are booking a wedding up north then why not get in touch.
